Ballari: BJP leader and Legislative Council member C.T. Ravi on Wednesday intensified the party’s attack on the Karnataka government, saying its campaign against corruption, alleged injustice to farmers and youth, and other public issues would continue until justice was delivered.
Ravi was speaking during the BJP’s ‘Bellari Chalo’ march led by state president B.Y. Vijayendra. Wednesday marked the ninth day of the campaign, which saw several senior BJP leaders, MLAs and party workers take part.
Taking a dig at the government over the alleged irregularities in the Valmiki Development Corporation money-laundering case, Ravi said it was not enough for only one person to resign.
He demanded action against everyone allegedly involved in the case, saying: “All wickets of corruption must fall.”
Ravi said the BJP would continue its agitation on issues concerning farmers, youth and Dalits.
Former BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, former ministers S. Suresh Kumar and C.T. Ravi, MPs Kota Srinivas Poojary, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar and C.Y. Brijesh Chowta, besides several party office-bearers and legislators, participated in the march.
BJP seeks clarity on Grihalakshmi arrears
Ravi also demanded that the Karnataka government provide a clear account of the three-month arrears under the Grihalakshmi scheme.
He alleged that young people were facing injustice in KPSC recruitment and accused the government of failing to provide adequate drought relief to farmers.
Ravi also criticised the earlier BJP government’s decision to reduce the enhanced SC/ST reservation, describing it as an anti-people policy.
He said the ‘Bellary Chalo’ campaign would continue to raise these issues and press the government for answers and action.
