Chennai: Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan will undertake a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu on August 16 and 17, attending a series of academic, commemorative and literary events across the state.
On August 16, Radhakrishnan will attend the 22nd Convocation of SRM Institute of Science and Technology at Kattankulathur in Chengalpattu. He will later participate in the first death anniversary programme of former Governor La. Ganesan at Vani Mahal in Chennai.
The Vice-President will also attend the launch of Echoes of a Nationalist Mind, a book based on the thoughts and writings of late K. Ramagopalan, founder of Hindu Munnani, at D.G. Vaishnava College Auditorium in Chennai.
On August 17, Radhakrishnan will attend the 11th Convocation of the Central University of Tamil Nadu in Thiruvarur.
He will then travel to Thanjavur to participate in the Ruby and Silver Jubilee Valedictory Celebrations of SASTRA Deemed University.
The two-day visit will cover academic institutions and commemorative events in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Thiruvarur and Thanjavur.
