Chikkamagaluru (Karnataka): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked continuously for the country during his 25 years in public life and is striving to realise his vision of a developed India through a “Karmayogi” approach, MLC Dr Ravi CT said.
Speaking at a ‘Seva Jyothi Yatra and Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Sabha’ organised as part of the Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan at the Sri Omkareshwara Temple premises on Basavanahalli Main Road, Ravi said Modi’s achievement was not merely his 13 years as Gujarat chief minister and 12 years as prime minister, but his alleged corruption-free public life and sustained efforts over 25 years.
He said several initiatives, including Jan Dhan, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Kendras, PM Vishwakarma, Startup India, Stand-Up India and Make in India, had been launched under Modi’s leadership.
Ravi also highlighted changes in India’s security policy, citing the surgical strikes as an example of the country demonstrating its military capability in response to attacks.
He claimed the Modi government had strengthened the economy after years of corruption, nepotism and poor governance.

Focus on ‘Vocal for Local’
Ravi said Modi had set a goal of making India developed, self-reliant and free from poverty by 2047, when the country celebrates 100 years of Independence.
He urged citizens to make the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign part of their daily lives by choosing locally manufactured products over imported goods. Such a shift, he said, would support domestic producers and strengthen the local economy.
Projects in Chikkamagaluru
Ravi also listed several development projects in the district, including the Chikkamagaluru-Kadur national highway, the super-speciality hospital and medical college, the Chikkamagaluru-Mudigere highway, the Bengaluru-Kadur-Honnavar-Shivamogga highway and the Chikkamagaluru-Belur-Hassan railway project.
He urged people to join hands to realise Modi’s vision of building a developed India and wished the prime minister good health and a long life.
Former MLC MK Pranesh, BJP district president MR Devaraj Shetty, office-bearers and several party leaders and workers attended the programme.
