New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have raised the price of 19kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹62.50 from October 1, adding to costs for hotels, restaurants and other businesses ahead of the festive season.
In New Delhi, the price of a 19kg commercial cylinder has increased from ₹2,747.50 to ₹2,810. The hike follows a ₹9.50 increase announced in September.
The latest revision comes as demand for commercial LPG typically rises among hotels, restaurants, bakeries and street-food businesses during Navaratri, Dussehra and Diwali. The higher cylinder price could add to operating costs for small and medium-sized food businesses.

Domestic LPG prices unchanged
There is no change in the price of the 14.2kg domestic LPG cylinder used by households. Domestic cooking gas prices have therefore remained unchanged despite the increase in commercial LPG rates.
Meanwhile, new measures, including biometric verification, have reportedly been introduced for certain LPG consumers receiving subsidies as part of efforts to verify beneficiaries.
