In a post on X, CM Vijay described his government as the “conscience of the people for a new era” and said its first 100 days had been devoted to transparent governance, social welfare, employment generation and rural development.

Among the major achievements cited was the Tamil Nadu Investors’ Summit 2026, which secured investment commitments exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore.

The government also closed 717 state-run liquor outlets as part of its phased policy to reduce alcohol consumption.

CM Vijay said Rs 6,000 crore would be allocated annually under the TN-Vetri rural rejuvenation programme to improve sanitation, drinking water facilities and roads. Sixty-five special task forces have also been constituted to intensify the campaign against narcotics.

Under the Vijay Skill Development Programme, training will be provided to 12 lakh students and one lakh young people, he said.

The government has also announced the “Vijayam 150” programme, guaranteeing 150 days of employment. The Chief Minister said Rs 560 crore had been allocated for a gold assistance scheme, while another marriage assistance initiative would provide eligible beneficiaries with a three-gram gold coin and a silk sari. An allocation of Rs 812 crore has been made for the programme.

For farmers, the government announced special incentives ensuring Rs 4,000 per tonne of sugarcane and Rs 2,750 per quintal of paddy. It also waived crop loans worth nearly Rs 6,000 crore and introduced the Vetri Women’s Goat-Rearing Scheme to support rural livelihoods.

The government allocated Rs 3,500 crore for the Vetri Housing Scheme and announced 200 units of free electricity. Another Rs 710 crore was earmarked to expand the Perunthalaivar Kamaraj Breakfast Scheme.

The Vetri Laptop Scheme received Rs 2,000 crore, while Class 11 students in government and government-aided schools will be provided modern branded bicycles equipped with helmets and water bottles.

CM Vijay also highlighted administrative reforms, including planning permission for multi-storeyed buildings at the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority level and direct, contactless registration of property documents.
