Chandrababu Naidu Reviews Departmental Performance, Calls for Faster Grievance Redressal

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday reviewed the performance of various government departments through the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) at the state Secretariat and sought details of public services being delivered at the field level.

During the review, Naidu directed state government Principal Secretary Sai Prasad to convene a meeting with district collectors to strengthen the implementation of the existing Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) and resolve citizens’ problems as effectively and quickly as possible.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure accountability in grievance redressal after nodal officers in all 175 Assembly constituencies receive complaints. He emphasised the need for employees and officials to act promptly on public grievances and improve the efficiency of the system.

Naidu also expressed concern over what he described as misleading propaganda targeting various government departments. He alleged that certain individuals were distorting government orders (GOs) to create a false impression among the public.

Referring specifically to a GO issued by the Revenue Department, the Chief Minister said misinformation was being spread about the order. He directed officials to provide accurate information to the public promptly and effectively to counter such claims.

Senior officials from various government departments attended the review meeting.
