Bengaluru: A 25-year-old gym trainer, Nandan, died after allegedly being assaulted during an altercation at an apartment in Kempapura, under the jurisdiction of Amrutahalli police station, following a gym anniversary celebration.
According to the complaint filed by Nandan’s mother, Manjula, he had left home on Saturday to attend the gym’s anniversary event. Before leaving, he reportedly told his family that he might return only the following morning if the celebrations were delayed.

After the event, Nandan and other gym staff members allegedly went to an acquaintance’s apartment. An altercation reportedly broke out there, during which Nandan was allegedly assaulted. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Hebbal for treatment.
However, his condition deteriorated and he died despite medical efforts.
After learning about the incident, Manjula reached the hospital and noticed injury marks on her son’s body. She subsequently approached Amrutahalli police and alleged that Nandan’s death was linked to the assault at the apartment.
Based on her complaint, police have registered a murder case against four people. Nandan’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
