Chennai: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate the eighth edition of Windergy India 2026 at the Chennai Trade Centre on October 8, with the three-day event scheduled from October 7 to 9.
The inauguration will be attended by Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Power Shripad Yesso Naik and Tamil Nadu Energy Resources and Law Minister C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar, besides senior government officials, wind energy associations and industry representatives.
The event will feature global MoU announcements, sectoral report launches and recognition of states contributing to the growth of wind energy.

India added a record 6.05 GW of wind power capacity in 2025-26, taking cumulative capacity to 58.52 GW by August 2026. Around 28 GW of capacity is currently under implementation, supporting the target of 100 GW by 2030.
Organised by the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association and PDA Ventures with support from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Power, Windergy India 2026 will bring together around 400 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and 500 delegates.
The event will include a trade fair, conference, technical sessions, round tables, live demonstrations and B2B and B2G meetings, with discussions on turbine technology, manufacturing, AI-driven operations, repowering and offshore wind.
