Lucknow, Aug 21 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Friday announced the final results for the recruitment of Junior Assistants in the Industrial Development Department.
A total of 50 candidates have been selected based on the Junior Assistant Main Examination. The selection process was completed strictly in accordance with prescribed rules, merit and reservation norms.
The Commission initially invited applications for 62 posts. After the department submitted a revised requisition, the number of vacancies was reduced to 54. Against these, the Commission finalised the selection of 50 candidates.
Of the selected candidates, 34 belong to the Unreserved category, seven to Other Backward Classes, five to the Economically Weaker Sections, three to Scheduled Castes and one to Scheduled Tribes.
The Commission adjusted candidates entitled to horizontal reservation within their respective vertical categories.
The Commission fully complied with provisions for women, persons with disabilities, and other horizontal categories. In categories where suitable candidates were not available, the posts have been carried forward as per rules.
Category-wise cut-off marks have also been released. The cut-off stands at 65 marks for the Unreserved category, 62.50 for OBC, 63.75 for EWS, 50 for Scheduled Tribes and 26.75 for Scheduled Castes.
Under horizontal reservation, the cut-off is 54.75 marks for the ASD/HH/DE/OH disability category and 44.25 for other disability categories. The cut-off for women candidates is 42 marks.
The Commission has clarified that the final selection remains subject to the outcome of related petitions pending before the High Court.
The Commission has provisionally included five candidates, and their final status will depend on further decisions.

The result underscores the state government’s continued focus on transparent and merit-based recruitment.
