In whichever role he held, whether in the Opposition or in the government, and while handling many portfolios, he demonstrated his own style of ministerial performance. Many times, he was awarded the title of the best parliamentarian in the entire Parliament. Specifically, on the occasion of this 7th anniversary, I would like to mention that the Metro Rail here, which was conceived by the then Congress government while he was the Union Urban Affairs Minister, was made possible because of his efforts,” he said.

Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said Jaipal Reddy was an intellectual who raised his voice in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha with a clear understanding of public issues and incisive speeches, earning him the title of the best parliamentarian.

Prabhakar said when he stepped into the 15th Lok Sabha, he was inspired by Jaipal Reddy. He said Jaipal Reddy put in tremendous efforts in achieving a separate Telangana state and in securing the passage of the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
