In an Instagram video shared by Dennings, the former on-screen besties reunited in a playful video. In the clip, the two are seen holding onto the script of the show, which will have Beth Behrs guest-starring as an emergency room doctor treating Kat Dennings’ character.
The clip begins with Dennings saying: “Oh hey, good to see you there. Just reading my script for season three of Shifting Gears, right?”
Behrs responds: “Yep, can’t wait. Nice to meet you, I’m Pat. You look familiar.”
Dennings then says: “Do I? I get that a lot. It’s been a while.”
The video was captioned: “She seems nice!”
Actor Tim Allen is set to reprise his role as classic car restoration shop owner Matt Parker, alongside Kat Dennings as his daughter Riley.
Shifting Gears is created by Julie Thacker Scully and Mike Scully. The series stars Tim Allen, Kat Dennings, Seann William Scott, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins, and Barrett Margolis.
The show is about a gruff widower, still mourning the death of his wife, who runs an auto restoration shop and reluctantly takes in his estranged (and newly divorced) daughter, with his two grandchildren.
Dennings is known for her starring roles as Max Black in the sitcom 2 Broke Girls and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superhero films and television franchise beginning with Thor.
Since making her acting debut in 2000, Dennings has appeared in films including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Big Momma’s House 2, Charlie Bartlett, The House Bunny, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Shorts, Defendor, and Suburban Gothic.
