Meanwhile, earlier on Monday, the Patiala House Court granted bail to 17 students arrested during the protest at Jantar Mantar last month.
According to the Indian Youth Congress, the arrested individuals include independent journalists and students who were protesting and covering the issue of vote theft.
The police had requested 14 days of judicial custody from the court, which was opposed by the lawyers representing the accused.
