Jaipur, July 20 (IANS) In a significant step towards realising the vision of Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person) in Rajasthan, the Rural and Urban Service Camps will now continue until August 31.
In view of the overwhelming public response and success of the initiative, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has decided to extend the camps.
He issued the necessary directions during the seventh Raj Unnati review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. The Chief Minister directed district collectors and departmental officials to clear all backlogged cases at the earliest.
He instructed that if any work remains incomplete, the reasons must be clearly documented. He also directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the timely disposal of public-related matters.
Stressing the need for speedy grievance redressal, he said disputes related to access roads and encroachments should be resolved on a priority basis.
The Chief Minister further instructed officials to maintain detailed records of beneficiaries, including their mobile numbers, and to document citizens’ experiences and feedback at the camps.
He also called for suggestions from field-level officers to make camp operations more efficient and citizen-friendly.
The Rural and Urban Service Camps have delivered encouraging results, reflecting the Chief Minister’s people-centric approach. By bringing multiple government services under one roof, the initiative has witnessed an enthusiastic public response.
Since June 12, more than 19,000 camps have been organised across the state, ensuring that citizens receive their entitled benefits while enabling the swift resolution of long-pending cases.
In the Urban Service Camps, more than 42,000 land lease deeds (pattas) have been issued and over 13,000 name transfer (mutation) cases disposed of. More than 100,000 birth, death, and marriage registrations have been completed, over 12,000 verifications under the Palanhar Scheme conducted, more than 18,000 PM SVANidhi loan applications processed, and over 41,000 electricity connections provided.
Additionally, more than 22,000 new streetlights have been installed, over 67,000 streetlights repaired, more than 7,000 building plan cases disposed of, over 27,000 potential garbage dumping points eliminated, and approvals issued for more than 3,000 sewer connections.
Similarly, the Rural Service Camps have resolved over 197,000 land mutation cases, nearly 48,000 boundary demarcation (patthargarhi) cases, more than 27,000 land partition cases by mutual consent, and over 18,000 right-of-way/access road disputes. Large numbers of revenue records have been corrected, lease deeds distributed, and caste, domicile, and solvency certificates issued.
Around 200,000 farmers have also been registered under the Farmer Registry initiative.
The camps have also delivered significant outcomes in the health and social welfare sectors. More than 2.5 million people have received health check-ups and treatment, over 1.1 million individuals have undergone TB screening, and more than 450,000 women have been screened for oral, breast, and cervical cancers. In addition, over 300,000 policies under the Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana and more than 48,000 policies under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana have been distributed.
Thousands of pending cases relating to social security pensions, the Jan Dhan Yojana, and Jan Aadhaar have also been resolved during the campaign.
