Amaravati, Sep 4 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday congratulated the ISRO scientists on the successful launch of GSLV-F17.
The Governor congratulated ISRO scientists for achieving a significant milestone with the successful launch and placing in geosynchronous orbit, its heaviest Earth observation satellite, EOS-05, via the GSLV-F17 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Friday.
The Governor said the mission marks India’s acquisition of its first dedicated imaging satellite, crucial for continuous surveillance and national security & it adds another feather in ISRO’s cap.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu described it as a proud moment for India’s space journey.
“Congratulations to ISRO on the successful launch of GSLV-F17 and the precise placement of EOS-05 into its intended orbit. This remarkable achievement reflects the strength of India’s space capabilities and the dedication of our scientists and engineers. My best wishes to the entire ISRO team for many more milestones ahead,” the Chief Minister said in a post on X.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan termed the launch a new milestone in Bharat’s space journey from Earth to the stars.
“Bharat continues to push the boundaries of what is possible. The successful GSLV-F17 mission, placing EOS-05 into its intended Sub-Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit, marks another remarkable achievement for ISRO. EOS-05 is India’s first-ever imaging satellite from a geosynchronous orbit, strengthening our Earth observation capabilities. Heartiest congratulations to the brilliant ISRO scientists, engineers, technicians and everyone involved in this historic mission,” said Pawan Kalyan, who is also the minister for science and technology.
Pawan Kalyan stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s space programme continues to reach new heights, inspiring our youth and strengthening our position among the world’s leading spacefaring nations.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also congratulated ISRO on the successful GSLVF17 launch carrying EOS05 from Sriharikota. “I commend the scientists and engineers whose dedication and precision made this achievement possible. The mission strengthens weather monitoring, disaster management and national development, inspiring immense pride in India’s expanding space capabilities and progress,” he said.
