Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast increased rainfall across Karnataka’s coastal, Malnad and South Interior regions over the next few days, with heavy rain likely in isolated areas of four Malnad districts on Monday.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in several parts of the coastal and South Interior districts on Sunday. Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are likely to receive showers at various locations.
In North Interior Karnataka, mostly dry weather is expected to prevail, although isolated areas of Dharwad, Haveri and Belagavi may receive light rain.

Rainfall activity is likely to intensify in the Malnad region on Monday, with heavy rain forecast at isolated places in Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga districts.
Several South Interior districts, including Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural, are also likely to receive rainfall. Showers currently affecting coastal and Malnad regions are expected to continue over the coming days.
The weather department’s forecast points to increased rainfall activity, particularly across the South Interior region, as changing weather conditions persist across the state.
