Delhi L-G meets businessmen to boost investment in Dwarka Sub-city

New Delhi, July 10 (IANS) Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ease of Doing Business while exploring investment opportunities in Dwarka Sub-city with industry leaders, an official said on Friday.

In a message on X, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Participated in an interactive session on investment opportunities in Dwarka Sub-city at DDA’s Qutab Golf Course, organised by @official_dda, with members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).”

“As one of Asia’s largest planned sub-cities, Dwarka is uniquely positioned to emerge as a premier destination for investment, with its proximity to the international airport, integrated transport network, and growing urban ecosystem creating opportunities across commerce, hospitality, healthcare, education, technology and high-quality urban infrastructure,” he wrote.

“Engaged in a constructive dialogue with industry leaders on unlocking Dwarka’s full potential through collaborative partnerships and future-ready planning,” he said.

“Reaffirmed our commitment to advancing Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s vision of Ease of Doing Business by fostering a transparent, efficient and investor-friendly ecosystem that drives sustainable growth, creates employment, and strengthens Delhi’s march towards #ViksitDilli and #ViksitBharat2047,” said the Lieutenant Governor.

Earlier this week, Sandhu interacted with foreign correspondents on the quality of governance and ease of living, highlighting that the world is looking at India with new confidence and new expectations, and that Delhi has a special responsibility to live up to that promise.

In a message about this interaction, the Lieutenant Governor said on X, “Addressed members of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia today on Delhi’s evolving journey as a global capital. Delhi’s story has always been one of continuity, not merely transformation – a city that has remained at the heart of the subcontinent’s political, economic, and cultural life for centuries.”

“Today, it is a vital node in the world’s diplomatic and technological networks, hosting some of the most significant global engagements of our time. True global relevance is not measured by visibility alone; it is reflected in the quality of governance and the ease of living experienced by every citizen,” he said.

He added that as “PM Shri @narendramodiJi has rightly said, ‘The world is looking at India with new confidence, and new expectations’. Delhi has a special responsibility to live up to that promise.”
