Owen Wilson regrets not sharing any scenes with Jamie Lee Curtis on ‘Haunted Mansion’

The 54-year-old 'Around the World in 80 Days' star features in the new Disney movie as priest Kent, but lamented shooting his scenes separately from the 'Halloween' actress who stars as the floating head in a crystal ball Madame Leota.

As per Female First UK, Wilson told ComicBook.com: "Well, I don't get to work with Jamie Lee Curtis, and I was a little bit sort of, 'Oh, gosh. That's too bad. But that was only sort of made more clear, because we were doing some press the other day, and she has great energy, and she's a very formidable person. I'm a bit more slow, from Texas, and she’s, you know… But I really enjoy her energy."

"It's a great cast. I think that's kind of been one of the pleasures, hopefully, for people in seeing this movie is sort of seeing the different famous faces that pop up," he added.

Despite missing out on collaborating with Jamie, Owen was thrilled that he got the chance to share scenes with Danny DeVito -- who plays the role of historian Bruce in the picture based on the Disneyland attraction.

The 'Wedding Crashers' star said: "I couldn't ask to be slapped by anyone better and more impressive and great than Danny DeVito. And that is kind of somebody that I was really excited to work with. And my friend, Woody Harrelson. They're friends and Woody had just said how great Danny is. And so it was fun to finally get to know him."

Meanwhile, Wilson is to star alongside Woody Harrelson in the upcoming crime thriller 'Lips Like Sugar', which is being written by Anthony Tambakis and directed by Brantley Gutierrez.

The logline for the film, which is also being produced by Harrelson, reads: "Set during the 1984 Olympic Games in L.A. and loosely based on a true story, the coming-of-age thriller is set against the backdrop of the punk and skate worlds of West Los Angeles."

It further reads, "As the new friendship of two teenage girls from different walks of life unfolds and city officials focus on the Olympics, the lives of two former detectives (Harrelson and Wilson) become intertwined when one of the girls goes missing."

Wilson, who has also starred in 'Zoolander' and Pixar's 'Cars', plays Mobius M Mobius in Disney+'s 'Loki', which is due to return later this year with a six-episode second season.

Ariana Grande’s romance with Ethan Slater turns his wife into ‘wreck’

Lilly Jay, who shares a child with Ethan, is reportedly "completely blindsided" by his supposed new romantic relationship with the singer-actress, who recently split from her husband Dalton Gomez, as reported by Aceshowbiz.

Ariana's romance with Ethan has reportedly turned the mother of one into "a wreck”.

Aceshowbiz quoted a source telling Page Six, "It's horrible. They were high school sweethearts. They have a baby! She's a wreck."

The source said that Lilly has been blaming Ariana for her sudden split from her husband Ethan, claiming that the couple had no serious issues beforehand. The source says Lilly believes Ariana's the reason she and Ethan "suddenly break up now when nothing appeared wrong between them”.

In May, Ethan paid a glowing tribute to his "wonderful" wife in a Mother's Day post on Instagram. He wrote, "Happy first Mother's Day to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world." The pair welcomed a son in August 2022.

Meanwhile, Ariana’s estranged husband Dalton is still hoping for a reconciliation, but her alleged new romance has changed everything.

TMZ reported that Ariana, 30, and Ethan, 31, started dating several months ago during production of ‘Wicked’. After the dating rumours broke, Ethan set his Instagram page private.

Ariana sparked breakup rumours with Dalton, 27, after ditching her wedding ring at Wimbledon earlier this month.

Page Six later claimed that they came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends. They've been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them.

Ariana is set to play Glinda in Universal’s film adaptation of the Broadway musical ‘Wicked’, while Ethan will play Boq, the love interest of Elphaba’s sister Nessarose.

The movie began shooting in the U.K. last year and was scheduled for release in November 2024, though it remains unclear if the SAG-AFTRA strike will affect its premiere.

Ethan is an actor, singer, composer and writer, and got his big break recently as SpongeBob Squarepants in the Broadway musical -- for which he earned a Tony Award nomination.

Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi seek blessings at Shankaracharya Temple in Kashmir

Ahead of the series' trailer unveiling in Srinagar, Vivek and Pallavi decided to kickstart the promotions on an auspicious note by visiting Shankaracharya temple.

Frequented by Kashmiri Hindus, Shankaracharya Temple is a monument of national importance, centrally protected under the Archaeological Survey of India.

Since the series is for the Kashmiri Pandits and it shows their plight, Vivek and Pallavi decided to pay their respects and seek divine blessings at a temple frequented by them before embarking on this journey of putting forth the truth in its purest and rawest form.

While the makers claim that ‘The Kashmir Files’ was a three-hour long movie which shook the nation, it was only the tip of the iceberg. The makers have said that the series is far more heart-wrenching, eye-opening and spine-chilling as it unravels the unreported realities, facts and the truth behind the massacre, and the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits straight from the horses’ mouth.

As seen in the trailer, the narrative is captured via conversations with historians, experts, real life victims and their families including experts like Dr Meenakshi Jain who was conferred with the Padma Shri award in 2020 for her work in the field of literature and education; Rakesh K Kaul who is the author of bestsellers ‘The Last Queen of Kashmir’ and ‘Dawn: The Warrior Princess of Kashmir’; Shesh Paul Vaid – the former Director General of Police of J&K; Manoj Raghuvanshi – ex TV journalist and the first journalist to do a lead story on terrorism erupting in Kashmir in July 1989; Dr. Tej Tikoo – Retired Colonel and veteran of 1971 Indo-Pak war and the author of ‘Kashmir: Its Aborigines and their Exodus’ among others.

Woven together through real life anecdotes, survivor testimonies and archived footages, ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ delves into the historical, ethnical, and geopolitical details, encapsulating the events, mistakes, crimes and circumstances that led to the massacre and mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley in the 1990s.

It goes on to portray the state of affairs which led to the abrogation of Article 370 and its repercussions on Kashmir today.

It also maps the centuries old journey of Kashmir, hailed as the paradise on earth, its significance to India, its people and culture and their evolution from being a melting pot of civilization and knowledge, to being repeatedly attacked, radicalised and systemically reduced to a warzone like condition of today.

After four years of research and shoot schedule, ‘The Kashmir Files Unreported’ is ready for release and through their arduous journey, Vivek and Pallavi aim to honor the resilience of the Kashmiri Pandit community, and foster a deeper understanding that paves the way for healing and harmony in the valley's future.

Filmmaker Vivek had said: “The genocide of Kashmir is a blot not only on India but on humanity. It is considered to be the biggest hidden tragedy of modern times. It was very important for us to tell this story honestly.”

The seven-part series will premiere on ZEE5 soon.

KJo’s brief to Pritam for ‘Rocky Aur Rani…’: Music from LP era, ’90s romance

Pritam along with the lead pair of the film, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, and Sonu Nigam promoted a new song from RARKPK at the Spotify's Music Concert on Friday evening.

The music of RRKPK is inspired from old classic romantic numbers.

During a media interaction, Pritam was asked about the inspiration and brief behind film's music.

“The brief was simple, Karan Johar wanted to revisit old classic Indian music. His brief was LP era '90s genre... that sort of romance. The structuring of the songs changed. Every song has two 'antaras', and we cut one out, and they are about five to six-minute long. If you see the whole movie, it is full of nostalgia, emotions, everybody is singing old songs and we have used them in the background.”

Pritam and Sonu Nigam have collaborated for the fourth song of the film, which will be out soon.

When asked about the fourth song, Pritam shared an interesting story.

“Just 2-3 days prior to this event, I composed the song with Sonu Nigam, but I had the song for some time. But the moment it was made clear that Sonu Nigam will be singing it, I thought I will change the song, and do a fresh number with him. There is little pressure when you compose a song with Sonu,” Pritam said.

“I kept dragging the process for 2-3 months, until it was time to release the song, and when I saw all the songs in a row, it was working superbly with the film. Only then I called Sonu Nigam, while he was on a vacation in Mauritius,” he added.

'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', which also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, is slated for release on July 28.

Margot Robbie reveals on- set secrets about ‘Barbie’ shoot

As reported by Daily Mail, while appearing on 'The One Show' with her co-star America Ferrera on Thursday, Margot told how she introduced a series of fun on-set games during filming.

She then explained that she introduced a dress codes among her co-stars and also hosted a huge, flashy and over-the-top sleepover party in a hotel for her fellow Barbie actresses.

'The Suicide Squad' actress said that she got all members of the cast and crew to wear pink on Wednesdays, in an ode to both Barbie and Regina George's dress code in smash hit movie 'Mean Girls'.

"When host Roman Kemp asked her about the rumoured on-set dress code, Margot said: "Some people were reluctant at first, so on Wednesdays we wore pink was the game and if you didn't wear pink there was an optional fine that would be donated to charity.

"I'd say the grippes were the most resistant. Then I decorated the truck for them since they weren't getting into the pink spirit. I snuck off and covered the whole thing in pink streamers and glitter and everything, they got on board after that."

Speaking about the movie, Margot Robbie who also produced the movie said: "We didn't know exactly what the storyline was going to be, and Barbie doesn't have a certain narrative unlike adapting a book or comic book even. I knew that I wanted Greta Gerwig to write and direct it.

"We were so lucky we knew that we wanted to honour the 60+ year legacy but also acknowledge the things that have been controversial about Barbie through the years.

"Regardless, it's the first time she's been seen on the big screen in a live action film before and it was just crazy to me that that hadn't been done and it felt like a big, exciting opportunity and Greta - what she's done with this film is just insane."

'Barbie' will hit theatres on July 21, 2023.

Director Christopher McQuarrie had considered de-aging Tom Cruise ‘MI7’

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, during an interview with GamesRadar+ and Total Film, director Christopher McQuarrie said that the creative team behind ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ had considered to de-age Tom Cruise for one of the opening scenes in the film.

“Originally, there had been a whole sequence at the beginning of the movie that was going to take place in 1989,” he explained. “We talked about it as a cold open, we talked about it as flashbacks in the movie, we looked at de-aging.”

“One of the big things about (the de-aging) I was looking at while researching, I kept saying, ‘Boy, this de-aging is really good’ or ‘This de-aging is not so good.’ Never did I find myself actually following the story,” he said. “I was so distracted by an actor that I had known for however long was now suddenly this young person.”

However, McQuarrie hasn’t ruled out using de-aging in the future and is looking to incorporate it into future projects once he is more certain about its outcome.

“In researching that (technology), I cracked the code – I think – on how best to approach it,” McQuarrie said. “By then, we had kind of moved away from it. We may still play with it. We never say never.”

Digital de-aging these days has become a common phenomenon in Hollywood, and it’s been done in various instances to make old actors appear younger. Some of these examples include Mark Hamill in ‘Mandalorian’, Samuel L. Jackson in ‘Captain Marvel’ and most recently, Harrison Ford for ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.’
