Mumbai, Sep 16 (IANS) The lawyer appearing for late Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, on Wednesday, revealed that Indian Revenue Service Officer Sameer Wankhede is one of the four witnesses in the former celebrity manager’s death case.
This comes days after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) lodged an FIR in the case, on the direction of the Bombay High Court.
Speaking to IANS, advocate Nilesh Ojha said: “Regarding the witnesses, I cannot disclose all the names right now. However, one of our witnesses is Sameer Wankhede. He has been a witness for us from the very beginning, though we had not disclosed it previously.”
“In our writ petition 1612, we made Sameer Wankhede Respondent No. 9 because we have information, through an officer known to us, that during his investigation of this case, Sameer Wankhede came into possession of key data. Specifically, he has the mobile tower location data of Aditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, and others, placing them at the crime scene related to Disha Salian,” Ojha claimed.
Wankhede is not new to controversies. On October 2, 2021, he led a search and seizure operation in a cruise ship operated by Cordelia Cruises, during which superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested along with 19 other individuals for offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
A day earlier, advocate Ojha claimed that the evidence which the legal team will be handing over to the CBI will be “similar to a death nail” for those named in the FIR.
“This (evidence) also includes something related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput,” he told IANS.
Moreover, the lawyer said: “80 per cent of our work in this case has already been done through the High Court order. The High Court order itself lists ten points that prove the police report to be incorrect and makes it clear that this is not a case of suicide, but of foul play.”
