
Mumbai, Aug 22 (IANS) Actress Anushka Sen penned a nostalgic wish for her father on social media as he turned a year older on Saturday.
She shared a couple of unseen photos with her dad on her official Instagram account and thanked him for always being her pillar of strength and raising her like a princess.
She wrote on the photo-sharing app, “Happy birthday to my superhero. The one who makes me believe that dreams do come true & that if you put in the hard work and stay true to yourself, anything is possible. Everyday you raise the standards so high, you’ve brought me up like a princess and I thank you for being my pillar of strength. (sic).”
Calling her father her biggest blessing, Anushka added, “Your support and encouragement means the world to me having you as my father, is the biggest blessing. I love you the most. Leo father Leo daughter”.
Talking about her professional commitments, Anushka has added another feather to her cap by becoming the first Indian actress to play a lead role in a South Korean film. She will be seen headlining the forthcoming romantic musical drama ‘Jeju Olle’.
Anushka has reportedly been roped in to play a character named Alisha, who travels to South Korea’s beautiful Jeju Island in an attempt to overcome the grief of losing her sister.
During her transformational journey, she gets emotionally involved with a singer-songwriter named Sunwoo (Played by Korean actor Kang Hyung-seok).
For those who do not know, Anushka entered the entertainment industry as a child artist. She made a strong name for herself with her noteworthy appearances in popular television serials such as ‘Baal Veer’, ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ and ‘Internet Wala Love’.
In addition to this, Anushka also has some movies like ‘Lihaaf: The Quilt’ and ‘Am I Next’ to her credit.
