Mumbai, August 22 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a thought-provoking message on fate, luck and success on the late evening of Friday.
He stated saying that people have the ability to shape their own destiny and should not blame luck for the circumstances of their lives.
Taking to his blog, the veteran actor reflected on how people often attribute their successes and failures to luck. He wrote: “They ask me .. luck or your fate .. luck is an excuse .. fate is what you make, and the success is what your fate is .. you built your fate .. blaming luck on fate – cannot understand.”
Sharing the same thought in Hindi, Bachchan said that people often tell him that their luck is not good. However, he disagreed with the notion and stressed that everyone has the ability to create their own fate.
Translated into English, Bachchan’s Hindi version of the message reads, “Many times people say, ‘My fate is just like this, it is bad.’ No, no, no! All of you have the ability to make your own fate. It is not written anywhere that luck is becoming ineffective because of fate.”
The actor further pointed out that every person goes through highs and lows in life, and what matters is how one uses their abilities, strength and hard work to overcome those phases.
In English, the line reads, “There are ups and downs in everyone’s life. How you come out of them through your ability, strength and hard work is what holds greater importance in life.”
Bachchan concluded his note by extending his good wishes and happiness to his readers.
The actor, however has spoken about the luck factor in his life especially when he was fighting for life post a deadly accident on the sets of the movie Coolie in 70s era of Bollywood.
The actor has been hospitalized post the accident and was declared clinically dead by doctors only to find him back to life, a few hours later.
Amitabh often expresses gratitude to his fans for their prayers and unconditional love for giving him a second chance at life.
